Summer Camps 2011
Summer is over, but check out the various Workshops we are doing throughout the year for both kids and adults!
Our camps were designed for children to have fun while learning new painting techniques and different types of art. Camp days are offered individually so your child can pick and choose which projects appeal to him or her - sign up for one or more!
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted)
Age: 7 and up
Cost: $40-$45 per session
Multiple Discount: 10% off the camp fee if you sign your child up for multiple sessions, have more than one child signing up (does not have to be the same session) or if you sign up with a friend (friends must sign up for the same session).
- A signed registration form and payment in full are due at least two days before camp date to reserve your child’s spot.
- Refunds for cancellation will only be given with a minimum of a one week notice.
- In the unfortunate event that we do not have at least 6 campers signed up for a session at least one week prior to the camp date the session will be cancelled and a full refund will be given.
- Must sign up at least one week prior to the camp date to receive the Multiple Discount.
- Sign-up in person or by phone.

Clay Hand Building / Ceramic Bubble Painting Technique
You may think this sounds fishy, but it is going to be a whole lot of fun! We will start off the session by taking a ball of clay and turning it into a really great looking fish! This will be done by a hand building technique and will be painted the same day.
A very unique bubble blowing technique that will be applied to a 6” tile and a ceramic fish add-on will be painted and attached to the tile creating an underwater scene.

Clay Slab Rolling / Glass Fusing
We will do a really fun project that will capture your child’s footprint in clay which will be turned into a ceramic flip-flop.
We will also teach basic glass fusing terminology, techniques and cutting by completing a 4” glass sun catcher.
Christmas in July

Clay Slab Rolling / Pottery Painting
Get a head start on Christmas! Your child will make cookie cutter clay ornaments and paint them while humming along to Christmas Carols!
A snowflake dessert plate will also be completed by using Kirigami. Kirigami is a technique using both folding and cutting of paper. Your child will design a snowflake or abstract design cut-out and apply it to a ceramic coupe salad plate using this easy and fun technique.

Clay Hand Building / Pottery Painting
Today we will be celebrating all of our birthdays with birthday cake and projects!
We will start out by creating and painting a cupcake box or a round box by using a clay hand building technique.
A rimmed dinner plate will be painted by your child applying a tracing technique to write “Happy Birthday” or “You Are Special Today” on the rim and then decorating the rest of the plate in their own unique way. Everyone in the family can use this dinner plate on their special day!

Ceramic Tie-Dye Painting Technique / Glass Fusing
Your child will apply a Tie-Dye technique to an 8” coupe salad plate using ceramic under glazes in fun writer bottles and accenting it with a peace sign.
The fun does not stop there – we will also be assembling a fused glass key chain or pendant by using precut pieces of glass.

Ceramic Painting with Stamps / Clay Slab Rolling
In this session we will learn the art of clay slab rolling and clay stamping by forming and painting a Clay Pocket Wall Plaque.
We will also explore the use of rubber stamps by creating designs on your child’s very own mug or bowl.
