Workshops
The Ceramic Studio Etc... is a walk-in-anytime, do-it-yourself, paint-your-own-pottery and glass fusing studio. Workshops are not a requirement here for glass fusing or pottery painting but many people have requested that we add some.
Our step-by-step workshops are designed to teach you new or more involved techniques in painting, glass fusing or clay handbuilding projects. Whatever the case may be, below you will find our current workshop details.

Past Workshops
Clay Penguin
Thursday, January 26 - 7pm-8:30pm
Age: 7 and up
Cost: $18
Clay Hand Building
We will be taking a one pound ball of clay and turning it into a cute penguin! This will be done by creating two pinch pots and forming them together. You will then add your face and accessories and paint your project. It will be left with us to be glazed and fired. Allow up to two weeks for pick-up.
Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult.
Family Discount: 10% off the workshop fee if you are signing up more than one family member for the same session.
Clay Snowman
Thursday, January 5 - 7pm-8:30pm
Age: 7 to Adult
Cost: $18
Clay Hand Building
We will be taking a one pound ball of clay and turning it into a snowman! This will be done by doing tabletop hand building and will be painted the same night. It will be left with us to be glazed and fired. Allow up to two weeks for pick-up.
Children under the age of 9 must be accompanied by an adult.
Family Discount: 10% off the workshop fee if you are signing up more than one family member for the same session.
Holiday Greeting Plate
Wednesday, November 30 - 6pm-9pm
Wednesday, December 7 - 10am-1pm

Ceramic Painting Techniques
Grab a friend or come alone and paint a plate that looks like a Holiday Greeting Card! You will 
be guided step by step using simple techniques such as reverse stenciling and masking.
Choose from several different designs.
If you would like to make more than one as gifts the price will be $25 for each additional plate (completed by the same person).
If you are joining us on Wednesday night you may bring in beverage of choice.
Mosaic Fused Glass Bowl
Saturday, October 29 - 11am-2pm
Friday, November 4 - 6pm-9pm
Age: 16 and up
Cost: $65
Glass Cutting Techniques
Create a beautiful 9” glass fused bowl using a mosaic technique. You may do your own fall leaves, choose from one of dozens of patterns which we provide or come prepared with a pattern that will fit within a 9” circle.
To complete your mosaic design you will nip pieces of glass and “grout” with glass frit. No precise cutting is involved. No experience is necessary.
Clay Jack-O-Lantern
Saturday, October 1 - 9am-10:30am
Thursday, October 6 - 7pm-8:30pm
Age: 7 to Adult

You may drop your child off or come as a family and each "carve" your own pumpkin.

Cafe Mugs

Pottery Painting Techniques
We will take you step by step in painting a swoop sushi platter with a cafe mug design. We will teach you various techniques such as tracing, water color, sgrafitto and faux finish which can all be applied to future projects.
You may modify the design with your own colors to match your decor. Coffee and pastries will be served during the workshop.
